Jordan Zeiler was named to the Chadron State College President’s List for the fall 2012 semester. The list, which requires all A’s, consists of 239 names. Students must be enrolled in 12 credit hours of coursework during the semester to qualify.
Zeiler is the daughter of Brenda and Bob Heldenbrand and Corey and Tammy Zeiler of Holyoke. She is a 2012 graduate of HHS.
Brittany Durbin, an elementary education major, has been named to Fort Hays State University’s Dean’s Honor Roll for the fall 2012 semester. The roll includes full-time undergraduate students who have at least a 3.6 GPA for the semester. Both on-campus and FHSU virtual college students are eligible.
Durbin is the daughter of Shawna and Doug Bergstrom and John and Kelly Durbin of Holyoke. She is a 2010 graduate of HHS.
Alyssa Roll, an equine management major, has been named to the Dean’s List for the 2012 fall semester at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling. Eligibility requirements include completing the semester with a GPA between 3.5-3.74 with a minimum of 12 academic credit hours.
Roll also recently received the 102nd Infantry Division Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $2,000. Applicants must have a father, grandfather or great-grandfather who was an active member of the 102nd Infantry Division between August 1942 and March 1946. Roll’s great-grandfather, Elton Oltjenbruns, served as a medic with the 102nd Infantry from 1942-45.
The scholarship program is a project of the Association to memorialize deceased members of the division and to support and operate a program to award scholarships to descendants of Associaiton members. Recipients are selected competitively through judging of applications by an appointed scholarship committee of members of the former Association.
Roll is the daughter of Jeff and Laura Roll of Amherst and is a 2012 graduate of HHS.
