It was a cookie celebration Monday, Feb. 4 when the Friends of the Library gathered for their annual salad luncheon at Phillips County Museum. Cookie cookbooks and colorful treats emphasized the “Be a Smart Cookie ... READ!” theme of the event.

Friends of the Library celebrated a good year, which included events like the Book Bonanza in the fall and Library Extravaganza at Christmas, where they sold cookbooks featuring recipes from the salad luncheon.

Officers for 2013 will be Linda Jelden, president; Peggy Bennett, vice president; Janice Hibbard, treasurer; and Karen Crocker, secretary.
