Raising Ranchers 4-H Club
Raising Ranchers 4-H Club held their second meeting of the year Jan. 28. First order of business was discussing the activity gathering on Dec. 13 for the club’s Christmas party.
In December, the members and families enjoyed a potluck and played bingo. Attending members put together cookie tins to give away to their livestock buyers who purchased their animals at the Fair.
The club welcomed three new families. Sign-up sheets to do demonstrations, refreshments and club projects like the booth, float and scrapbook were passed around.
It was discussed and a motion passed for the club to buy new T-shirts for all the members. A committee was formed to design and pick the color for the new shirt. The final decision for the shirt will be made at the next meeting.
Plans for their upcoming concession stand at the Farm and Home Show were talked about. Members also brainstormed a variety of possible Fair themes to submit to the Fair Board by Feb. 15.
At the end of the meeting, everyone enjoyed the refreshments brought by the Lutze family and a fun scavenger hunt game. The next meeting will be Monday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. at the Phillips County Fairgrounds.
