PV2 Dustin Carrick recently graduated from a 17-week program with the Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 81st Armor Regiment at Fort Benning, Ga. The Army graduation ceremony was Thursday, Jan. 24.

The program was One Station Unit Training, which combines Basic Combat Training with Advanced Individual Training. Carrick’s training included tank school.

Carrick is now stationed at Fort Hood, Texas in infantry training for preparation to go to Afghanistan in July.

He is a 2011 graduate of Holyoke High School.
