|RJ's closing soon|
|Written by Holyoke Enterprise|
“Closing soon. Everything must be sold.” Those are the words of the vinyl banner that was hung in front of RJ’s Simple Spending at 123 S. Interocean Ave. in Holyoke Friday evening, Feb. 22.
Store owners Randy and Jackie Hale, who opened the local store in May of 2011, announced they’re liquidating their inventory and will close the doors when the merchandise is sold.
In addition to merchandise, Randy said they’re selling fixtures, slat walls, shelving units and more.
The Hales said they have had some tremendous support for their store, and they’re appreciative of that.
However, as a whole, the local economic conditions led to their decision to close.
A specific timeline has not been set for closure. It will be based on the liquidation process.
Randy will continue in his full-time loan officer position at Holyoke Community Federal Credit Union.
