Grainland Co-op held its 2nd annual Harvest for Hunger drive March 1-20. The drive collected 220 pounds of food and $1,775 in cash and grain. Donated items are pictured. The drive was in cooperation with the CHS Inc. goal of raising 2 million meals for families in need. Through programs such as the food drive, CHS surpassed their goal of 2 million meals.
Grainland general manager Rick Unrein said the locally-donated goods will be distributed to the Holyoke, Haxtun and Julesburg food banks. CHS Inc. and Grainland will match the money donated, and the funds will go to the Food Bank of the Rockies in Denver. —Enterprise photo
