Summer reading program announced PDF Print E-mail

    Heginbotham Library will once again be holding its annual summer reading program this summer.    
    Children 3 years old through fourth grade are invited to join the program. Registration for “Be Creative At Your Library” is Wednesday, June 10 from 1-3 p.m.
    Library director Laura Roth and assistant director Nora Ann Roth will run the program from 1-1:45 p.m. each Wednesday from June 17 to July 8. Activities each week include reading, prizes, snacks, games, crafts and surprise guests.
    Teen summer reading program “Reading Rocks” will also be held at Heginbotham Library this summer. Registration and a movie for those going into fifth grade and up will be held Friday, June 12 from 1-3 p.m. The reading, prizes, snacks and games will continue into July with several special events.
    In addition to registration day, a midway activity/scavenger hunt and karaoke will take place Wednesday, June 24. A road trip will be the finale on July 10.
    Those participating in the teen summer reading program are encouraged to read three books and help with one summer reading program event in order to participate in the road trip finale.
