Eastern Colorado T.U.N.E.—The Ultimate Nature Experience—is set for Friday-Sunday, April 26-28 at Camp Machasay in northeast Phillips County.
Colorado Pheasants Forever and Youth Challenge are co-sponsoring the youth camp for ages 10-17.
Young people will enjoy activities like horseback riding, ATV riding, clay shooting, archery, survival skills, hiking and more.
There is limited room for campers in dormitories and RV sites but plenty of room for dry camping. Cost of the camp includes a Friday evening meal through Sunday lunch.
Another T.U.N.E. camp, Adventure in the Mountains, will be offered July 18-21 just outside Jamestown in the Rocky Mountains.
Pheasants Forever and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation in partnership with Cal-Wood Education Center and the Colorado Bow Hunters Association are offering a chance for youth ages 10-15 to explore the outdoors, connect with nature, relax around the campfire and meet new friends.
Activities will include fishing, archery, shooting sports, low ropes course, dog training and survival skills. Campers will discover aquatic critters, explore the forest and upland habitats and meet a raptor up close. They will also learn about cool conservation career opportunities and meet professionals in the conservation field.
