For the 14th year in a row, Group Publishing is giving away cash awards to a variety of Northern Colorado charities. Every year, Group gives a portion of its profits back to the community. Since 1997, Group has donated more than $560,000 to non-profit organizations in Northern Colorado through Group’s Community Service Awards. This year Group will award $61,000 to various organizations. All nonprofit organizations (as certified by the IRS) that provide services in Northern Colorado are eligible. Organizations in these 15 northern Colorado counties may apply: Adams, Boulder, Clear Creek, Gilpin, Grand, Jackson, Larimer, Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Routt, Sedgwick, Washington, Weld and Yuma. Applications and additional details can be found at www.group.com/community. Applications will be accepted through Aug 28. The awards will be announced and presented at a special luncheon on Oct. 29.
