|Students take a stand|
|Written by Holyoke Enterprise|
Holyoke Elementary students are standing hand-in-hand this spring to show they are making a difference against bullying. The children decorated hands, which are now hung on the front doors of the elementary school. The hands remind students to “Take a Stand, Lend a Hand, Stop Bullying,” the theme of their assembly last October where students signed a poster to pledge their stand against bullying.
Kindergarten and first-grade kids have recently been talking about feelings during their times with counselor Sharon Jones, so they decorated their hands with one or two feelings. Grades 2-6 decorated their hands with something they remembered from counseling lessons this year.
