Anyone interested in becoming a volleyball official should make note of important dates coming up.

All officials must go to a regional clinic and one study session before the season starts and one study session after the season starts. First- to third-year officials must attend a mechanics clinic also.

It’s recommended all new officials hit as many of the new officials study sessions as they can.

A regional clinic is set for Wednesday, Aug. 14 in Sterling with registration from 4:30-5 p.m. and the clinic from 5-7:45 p.m. at the NJC Bank of Colorado Event Center.

Study sessions for new officials will be Monday, July 29 at Hagen Elementary and Mondays, Aug. 5 and 12 at the NJC Bank of Colorado Event Center classroom at 6 p.m. The test date is Monday, Aug. 19.

Study sessions for veterans and new officials are Mondays, Aug. 26, Sept. 9 and 23 and Oct. 7 and 21, all at the NJC Bank of Colorado Event Center classroom at 6 p.m.

Two mechanics clinics are set for Sunday, June 15 at 8 a.m. in Fleming and Sunday, Aug. 24 at Brush High School.
