Summer swimming season is in full swing this week, with a full staff of qualified lifeguards led by pool manager Karla Pargas.

Open swim hours for the summer include Tuesday through Sunday from 1-5 p.m.

Lap swim hours are scheduled Monday through Thursday from 5-7 p.m. and Sunday from 5-6 p.m.

Water exercise sessions are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Parent/tot classes will be held Tuesdays from 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Two swimming lesson sessions are scheduled this summer, with classes from Tuesday-Friday in the sessions.

Session 1 will run from June 11-28 and Session 2 from July 9-26.

Pargas is in her seventh year as Holyoke’s pool manager and has 15 years experience as a lifeguard and water safety instructor.
