Eight students represented Holyoke High School at the 85th annual Colorado State FFA Convention Tuesday-Thursday, June 4-6 at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling.
The theme for this year’s convention was “Exceed.”
Making the trip from Holyoke were Josilyn Lutze, Austin Vieselmeyer, Kody Timm, Cavin Kramer, Kelsey Kramer, Cody Lamm, Nick Ortner and Taylor Goldenstein.
Delegates from Holyoke were Ortner and Kelsey Kramer. Sponsors for state were Guy Kuntz, Callie Daniels and Clay Christensen.
While the HHS students did not compete in any of the competitions, they were able to attend leadership workshops and motivational speeches.
Kuntz described the trip as a learning experience. The kids learned how to apply leadership to the chapter and were able to interact and learn from other members and chapters across the state.
