Megan Colglazier of Holyoke performed in six numbers, including five dance and one tumbling at the June 20 and 21 Dance Recital by Melissa’s School of Dance and Gymnastics of Sterling.
“Entertainment Tonight” was the recital theme, and Melissa Craddock is choreographer and dance master. The recital was held at Dorothy Corsberg Theatre at Northeastern Junior College.
Colglazier has been dancing for 15 years and will be a senior at Holyoke High School this fall. She is the daughter of Harvey and Nancy Colglazier of Holyoke.
The six numbers in which Colglazier performed were jazz, “Hot Jam/Poker Face,” an energetic hip hop combo of the two songs; tap, “Sing Sing Sing,” a fast-paced swing number, with the performance beginning with a curtain a foot off the ground so only the dancers’ feet showed.
Gymnastics, “Black Out,” tumbling routine done in black light; pointe, “Money, Money, Money,” danced to a song from Momma Mia musical; lyrical ballet solo to “Drops of Jupiter;” and ballet, “Bleeding Love,” a lyrical ballet which was the final number of the performance.
