Holyoke’s Sgt. Delmer Moss was one of approximately 100 veterans to be honored at a commemorative reunion for the 60th anniversary of the Korean War.
Delmer, his wife Eileen Moss and daughter Vickie Cunningham attended the ceremonies in Anaheim, Calif., the last week of August.
“It made you feel like you did good over there, and the people appreciate it,” said Delmer.
The 81-year-old Korean veteran was honored with three medals during the reunion—one medal and a certificate from the Department of Defense and the other two medals from the Korean government and the Korean War memorial.
“What a grateful group of people!” said Eileen, noting how very respectful the Korean representatives were at the ceremonies.
