Lady Dragon vball team picks up road win in Wray PDF Print E-mail
Written by Holyoke Enterprise

HHS volleyball improved to 2-0 in conference play by taking down Wray on the road in three straight sets, winning 25-18, 25-22 and 25-17 Saturday, Sept. 14.

The win came after a week-long break from action for the Lady Dragons. While the break offers time for practice and to rest any nagging injuries, coach Michelle Vieselmeyer noted that it is hard to maintain the necessary intensity on the court with that much time between matches.

In the first set, neither team was able to pull away as the two squads remained deadlocked. With the score knotted up at 17, HHS put together the run they needed to pull away with the win.

With Maddie King handling the serving, the Lady Dragons rattled off six unanswered points to take a 23-17 lead. They were able to fend off the Wray squad to win the first set 25-18.
