|HHS weight room to allow public use|
|Written by Kyle Arnoldy|
After the Holyoke High School wellness committee’s Sept. 10 meeting, it was decided that the HHS weight room will be once again made available to the public if there is a legitimate demand amongst community members.
HHS opened the weight room to the public over the summer as well. Punch cards were made available to those who wished to utilize the gym equipment. With less than 10 punch cards sold over the summer, the school will only be continuing with the option as long as at least 20 cards are purchased by the start date of Monday, Oct. 7.
The reasoning for the minimum number of cards that must be sold is based on the need to pay supervisors to oversee the weight room during open hours.
