Recently we have seen a lot of tinted windows showing up in the area. As we make these contacts on vehicles where the tint has been put on recently, we get questions about the legality of window tint shops selling and/or applying something that is illegal.
Think of it as compared to a red or blue light. They are not illegal to sell, but you cannot put a red or blue light on your vehicle. Per Colorado law, tint cannot be reflective or mirrored.
So here is the simplest way to explain the Colorado window tint law so you can make an informed decision when having tint put on your vehicle.
