JV Dragons post 2-1 record at football circus in Wray PDF Print E-mail
Written by Holyoke Enterprise

Junior varsity HHS football players squeezed in three 25-minute games with Yuma, Burlington and Wray as the JV season came to an end with a four-team circus in Wray Monday, Oct. 21.

Holyoke played some of their best football of the season as they defeated Yuma and Burlington before falling short against Wray.

Starting off the circus, HHS took on Yuma. The game got off to a rough start for the Dragons as they fumbled the ball and were called for a safety to give Yuma an early 2-0 edge.

Alex Strauss helped the Dragon squad regain the lead with a short touchdown reception. Taylor Mayden rushed in for the 2-point conversion as HHS took an 8-2 lead.
