Daylight-saving time ends this weekend
Residents are reminded to set their clocks back one hour Saturday night, Nov. 2 as daylight-saving time officially ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 3.
Siren rings out twice Tuesday afternoon
Holyoke Volunteer Firefighters were called for service twice Tuesday, Oct. 22.
The first siren rang out at 1:20 p.m. for a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Interocean Avenue and Emerson Street. No extrication was needed and HVFD assisted EMS.
Later that night at 5 p.m., the HVFD was called to 226 S. Reynolds Ave. for a gas meter leak. The gas was turned off and turned over to SourceGas.
