Seven kids and 13 parent volunteers made their way to Camp Machasay northeast of Holyoke for The Ultimate Nature Experience camp Oct. 25-27.
Participants bunkered down at the camp Friday night and were treated to an hour-long horse ride through the fields and archery lessons Saturday morning. In the afternoon, the camp attendees shot clay pigeons and rode around on ATVs. Maps and compass classes were also offered Saturday, along with a campfire at night.
Sunday morning, campers engaged in a planned pheasant hunt through Pheasants Forever in conjunction with Camp Machasay.
