With an open house planned in coordination with the Holyoke Chamber’s Country Christmas, new Headquarters, LLC owners Rance and Connie Ferguson and daughter Amanda Eastin are ready to welcome guests into their establishment Monday, Dec. 2.
Connie Ferguson and Eastin handle the day-to-day business at the store, moving into ownership roles after working at Headquarters since September 2012. Prior to working at Headquarters, both Ferguson and Eastin had worked at Ardie’s Beauty Barr.
Ready to greet customers, shop mainstays, pictured from left, Connie Ferguson, Brittney Ferguson and Amanda Eastin have taken to their second home at Headquarters, LLC as Connie and Amanda recently became owners.
The mother/daughter duo had been working together toward their careers in cosmetology from college, through barber school and into the workplace. Eastin first completed the cosmetology program at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling in 2011 with her mom following suit a year later.
After passing state boards in July, Ferguson attended Bull Locks Barbering Academy along with her daughter. Eastin hasn’t finished her testing yet to be licensed, but is hoping to do so shortly after the first of the year.
Originally approached in May about becoming the owner of the store, Ferguson admits she was racked full of nerves when first considering her new role within the business. Although nervous, she stated that turning down the offer from previous owner Ron Koch was never really an option and the family took control of the shop in August.
