|HHS to bebop with ‘Grease’ Nov. 22-23|
|Written by Holyoke Enterprise|
Taking the audience right back to 1959, Holyoke High School drama students will present “Grease” this Friday and Saturday, Nov. 22 and 23 at 7:30 p.m. each evening in the HHS auditorium.
Book, music and lyrics for the musical are by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey.
A switch-up in drama productions was instilled this year, with the musical in the fall and a school play to be presented in the spring. In the past, the play was on stage in November and the musical in March.
When the stage action begins, the kids think they rule in small town Rydell in 1959, and Grease is the word. They head back to school, their last year at Rydell High.
The audience will enjoy the building romance of Sandy Dumbrowski and Danny Zuko, egged on by the Burger Palace Boys and the Pink Ladies.
