Lighting contest to be judged Dec. 11-13
The City of Holyoke and Holyoke Enterprise are sponsoring the community’s 22nd annual holiday lighting contest, which will be judged Dec. 11-13.
To be included for judging, residents should simply have their lights on and/or decorations up at 6 p.m. each evening, Wednesday-Friday, Dec. 11-13. Judges will be driving around town those evenings.
Any lighting display within Holyoke city limits or in a half-mile radius is eligible. Judging will be based on originality, decorative effect and overall effect.
Those who want to make sure the judges don’t miss them or a display they’ve admired should call the City office at 854-2266 or The Holyoke Enterprise at 854-2811 by Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 1 p.m. Last year’s winners are ineligible this year.
