|Choirs spread Christmas cheer in holiday concert|

“The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear,” says Buddy the Elf.
There was a whole lot of Christmas cheer spread Monday night, Dec. 9 when Holyoke’s junior high chorus, high school chorus and HHS Select Choir (Sound Check) entertained in the annual Christmas choral concert.

Director Marcia Dalton clearly enjoys her role and inspires the youth of the community in the school’s music programs.
Vocal solos, piano entertainment, flute accompaniment and dance moves were delightful in the music segment of the Christmas program.
A special feature in the Select Choir’s portion of the concert was a slideshow featuring family member Christmas photos of the Select Choir and director. The audience was delighted as they recognized students in their early years of life.
The lights were dimmed for the slideshow as the group sang, “Somewhere in My Memory, accompanied by Whitney Powell on piano and Shaylee Krueger on flute.
