Area church schedules set for the holiday season PDF Print E-mail

As the holidays rapidly approach, a number of Holyoke and surrounding area churches will be hosting special services on Christmas Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 24, and Christmas Day, Wednesday, Dec. 25.

Fairfield Covenant Church, located north of Paoli, will host a Christmas Day Swedish Julotta service at 7 a.m., followed by breakfast.

First Baptist Church of Holyoke will hold a candlelight service Christmas Eve at 5 p.m.

First Christian Church is planning candlelight Christmas Eve services at 4:30 and 6 p.m.

First United Methodist Church is scheduled to host a candlelight service on Christmas Eve at 6 p.m.

Holyoke Church of Christ will meet at their regular time Sunday at 9 a.m. with Bible class at 10 a.m.

Holyoke Assembly of God will host a Christmas Eve service at 6:30 p.m.

Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church is planning a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 5 p.m.

St. Patrick Catholic Church will begin Christmas Eve celebrations at 11 p.m. with caroling followed by Eucharist at 11:30 p.m. A 9 a.m. Eucharist is set for Christmas Day and a New Year’s Eve Eucharist will take place at 6 p.m. the following week.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Amherst will host a children’s Christmas Eve service at 4:30 p.m. The Christmas Day service is planned for 9 a.m.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Venango, Neb., has a Christmas Eve service planned for 6:30 p.m. and a New Year’s Eve service scheduled for 5 p.m.

Venango Community Church in Nebraska has a 6 p.m. Christmas Eve service planned.

Zion Lutheran Church will host a special high school youth program Sunday, Dec. 22 at 10 a.m. On Christmas Eve, a family candlelight service is planned for 5 p.m. and a Christmas Day service is set for 9 a.m.
