|PIE announces winners for elementary reading contest|

Holyoke Elementary School students who participated in the fourth annual Partners in Education reading contest combined to read a grand total of 51,619 minutes—or 860 hours and 19 minutes or 35 days, 20 hours and 19 minutes.
Winners from grades K-6 were awarded a prize for their efforts. Winners include: kindergarten, Cozner Ring, 900 minutes; first grade, Sebastian Lopez, 990 minutes; second grade, Isaiah Brownfield, 825 minutes; third grade, Kevin Hermosillo, 1,611 minutes; fourth grade, Emmanuel Vasquez, 3,532 minutes; fifth grade, Ashley Rahe, 3,455 mintues; and sixth grade, Caleb Deaver, 5,773 minutes.
