|Dragons lose to Burlington by 1 in Stroh/Brown Memorial Dual|

It was a disappointing one-point loss, 31-32, when the Dragons hosted Burlington for a wrestling dual under the spotlight Thursday, Jan. 23.
In the nine matches that were wrestled, Holyoke won four, while the Cougars took five.
Holyoke won two matches in which Burlington didn’t have a wrestler, the visitors took one weight class in which Holyoke was open, and both teams were open at 170 lbs. and 220 lbs.
Marques Harvey works to roll Burlington’s Dylan Fisher on his back in dual action in the Dragon gym Thursday, Jan. 23. Harvey won the match with a pin with just over a minute left in the match.
Fernando Lopez won his 120-lb. match with a 45-second pin, Marques Harvey pinned his 182-lb. opponent in 4:56, Luke Stewart won 8-3 at 160 lbs. and Issac Brandt won 15-12 at 126 lbs.
The Larry Stroh/Bart Brown Memorial Dual paid tribute to the former HHS coaches who lost their lives in tragedies in 2006 and 1998, respectively.
Brown and Stroh family members were introduced and presented gifts at the beginning of Thursday night’s dual. It was a nice tribute to honor and remember two outstanding and dedicated wrestling coaches.
