|Scottsbluff hands Bombers major loss|

The Senior Buckley Bombers of Chappell, Neb. were throttled by Scottsbluff, Neb., 12-0, on Monday night, July 6. The game, played on the Scottsbluff diamond, went to only five innings.
According to coach Marcus Kammer, the Bombers struggled in all parts of the game. Of the 12 runs, only four were earned as the Bombers committed seven errors on defense. Offensively, there were only three hits the entire game.
Brandon Price of Holyoke took the loss on the mound, pitching four innings for three strikeouts, three bases on balls, seven hits and four earned runs. Austin Tharp of Holyoke threw for one inning and had three strikeouts, one hit and no earned runs.
Senior Buckley Bombers were also scheduled to play in Sutherland on Wednesday, July 8, host Ogallala Friday, July 10, travel to Sterling Saturday, July 11 and host Gering Sunday, July 12. However, results of these games were not received by the time this week’s Enterprise went to press.
The team is also scheduled to host Chadron for two games on Friday, July 17, starting at 5 p.m. On Sunday, July 19 they head to McCook, Neb. for a doubleheader at 2 p.m. CDT.
Junior Buckley Bombers will travel to Chadron as well this week for a Class B Area 7 tournament on Wednesday-Monday, July 15-20. The Senior tournament will be in in Sidney, Neb. Wednesday-Monday, July 22-27.
