|HHS celebrates FFA Week|

Holyoke FFA members kicked off National FFA Week with the annual Barnyard Day Tuesday, Feb. 18.
Holyoke JR/SR High School students poured into the ag shop just before the end of school Tuesday to see teachers Havilah Andersen and Maury Kramer kiss a pig.
Jars labeled with teachers’ names were placed in the commons area at HHS, and the male and female teacher whose jar collected the most money through student, teacher and community member donations were selected to kiss the pig.

With a fresh coat of lipstick and most of the Holyoke JR/SR High School looking on, high school math teacher Maury Kramer puckers up for a kiss with a pig as part of FFA’s Barnyard Day Tuesday, Feb. 18. FFA members Austin Vieselmeyer, pictured at left, and Sid Struckmeyer, pictured behind Kramer, helped settle the pig long enough for Kramer to grab hold and plant a big smooch on the animal.
