|Holyoke athletes recognized for winter season accomplishments|

Basketball players, wrestlers, swimmers and cheerleaders alike gathered at Holyoke High School Thursday, March 27 as all winter sports athletes were recognized with the annual HHS winter athletic awards presentation.
Athletic dierector Sandra Rahe initiated the ceremony as athletes, coaches and family members enjoyed cake and refreshments.
Over 30 HHS athletes were recognized for their academic efforts throughout the winter sports season.
To be named as an All-Academic First Team student-athlete, a grade point average between 3.6-4.0 must be maintained. All-Academic Honorable Mention athletes must maintain a GPA of 3.3-3.59.
Holyoke students who were named to the All-Academic First Team for the winter season are seniors Ashley Humphreys, Trevor Dalton, Tanner Smith, Logan Tharp, Jacinda Krueger, Audi Peña and Ryan Krogmeier; juniors Luke Stewart, Nick Ortner, Dylan Kotch, Rosa Ochoa and Megan Vieselmeyer; sophomores Sidney Struckmeyer, Dani Brandt, Jaylene Dominguez, Lori McWilliams, Bradley Cumming, Roni Beavers and Kaely Zilla; and freshmen Dylon Lousberg, Emily Krogmeier, Alex Strauss, Tara Krueger and Brook Prottsman.
