Holyoke track team jumps into a new season at Yuma PDF Print E-mail

Holyoke High School opened the track and field season with the Yuma Early Qualifier Monday, March 24.

Relay teams shined for Holyoke in the first meet of the season. Five relay squads scored points for the Dragons as Holyoke boys scored 52 points to finish the day in sixth out of 12 teams and the girls scored 25 points to place 11th out of 13 teams.

Carlos Diaz picked up the only individual first-place finish for the Dragons, beating out the competition in the long jump event. The boys’ 4x100 meter throwers relay team also took home a blue ribbon by outpacing the field in the event.
