 HHS girls JV defeated Idalia Saturday, Dec. 6 (32-11), but both of HHS girls’ basketball JV and C teams suffered losses to Brush Thursday, Dec 4.
 The JV game against Brush ended in a loss of seven (26-33), while the C team lost to Brush by  14 (23-37).
Holyoke JV 26, Brush 33
 The Holyoke JV team faced a tough loss to Brush 26-33.
 At halftime the Beetdiggers led by eight.  Holyoke was only able to put up one free throw in the whole first half.  Into the second half Holyoke gained some ground scoring 13 points in the third, but in the end they just couldn’t outscore Brush’s offense.   
 Leading for Holyoke was Mallory Bennett with eight. Shelby Beavers added five, Molly Fricke and Kaylee Groshans (two for two at the free throw line) both had four, Marci Vasa three and Heather Duester two.
Holyoke C 23, Brush 37
 Brush’s C team dominated throughout  this tough game, ending at 23-37.
 Top scorer for Holyoke was Laura Gerk with 10, followed by KrisAnna Ham five, Pilu Lund three, Patricia Adams and Chantel Rafert two each and Emma Adams  one.
Holyoke JV 32, Idalia 11
 Dragons defeated Idalia with a 22 point win, 32-11. Holyoke took a strong lead going into the game with 10 points to Idalia’s zero.  As the game continued, HHS girls dominated the court to take the win. Gerk had a strong fourth quarter making a three-pointer, one two-pointer and a free throw.
 Leading the Holyoke team in points was Gerk with eight, followed by Beavers and Bennett with six each, Groshans five, Duester and Vasa two each and Becca Brandt, Fricke and Ham with one apiece.
