|Kids to sign up for Ag Safety Day|

Power take-off entanglement, grain suffocation, chemical burns and getting stepped on by farm animals—do parents want their children to understand the safe choices in a day on the farm?
The coordinators of the Safety Day being held at the Chase County Fairgrounds in Imperial, Neb., believe rural parents can do more to ensure that farm incidents don’t become part of their kids’ childhood memories.
According to Chris Tomky, lead coordinator, one way to start is by having children ages 6-13 years attend the Chase County All-Stars 4-H Club’s third Safety Day, scheduled for Saturday, June 21, starting with registration at 8 a.m. and ending at 4 p.m.
