|Kinda like Russia...|

Prairie Winds Art Center had a Russian flavor this month as the Holyoke Elementary School student art exhibition displayed Russian artwork created by local kids in kindergarten through sixth grade. An opening reception Monday, May 12, drew in students and their families as they browsed the gallery to find their artwork.
Pictured above, fifth-grader Perla Olivas, in back, and first-grader Briana Tena look at hundreds of examples of art that are “Kinda like Russia...” as the theme of the show suggests. The show, coordinated by art teacher Christina Martinez, continues through Saturday, May 17, with gallery hours from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m.-noon on Saturdays.
