|Written by Holyoke Enterprise|
Anastasia Conklin has been chosen as the delegate from Holyoke High School for this year’s Colorado Girls State, a statewide program sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary. The 67th session will be held at Western State College in Gunnison Sunday-Friday, June 8-13.
The Girls State program is honored and blessed to be recognized as an amazing leadership and educational program in excellent standing in the state of Colorado by Gov. John Hickenlooper. It is a highly selective program, choosing only young women with superior academic accomplishment and decorum.
Conklin is one of 350 delegates from Colorado who have completed their junior year of high school with above-average academic standing, have high moral character, have an interest in government and current events and possess leadership qualities.
