Holyoke Elementary third-grade students exceeded the state average of proficient and advanced students on the Transitional Colorado Assessment Program reading exam for the sixth year running.
Results for the 2014 third-grade reading TCAP testing were released recently, and Holyoke’s third-graders recorded the second-highest proficient and advanced score in six years.
Eighty-three percent of Holyoke students scored proficient or advanced, and the state average for this year is 72 percent proficient and advanced.
Holyoke Elementary Principal Kyle Stumpf told his staff, “This is great news. Everyone in the building comes together to support reading, and these results are a tribute to all of the efforts combined to support our students.”
