|HES raises over $800 to fight cancer|

As part of the Relay Recess program, Holyoke Elementary School students helped raise $844.48 for the American Cancer Society.
The program began with an assembly that highlighted cancer education activities dealing with nutrition, physical activity, sun safety and tobacco prevention. Cancer education is essential at the elementary school level because the good habits they learn early will stick with them as they grow into adults, according to the American Cancer Society.
