Sunday, July 26 a community church service will be held at Homesteaders Park at 9 a.m. In case of inclement weather, the service will be held at Assembly of God church. Special guest Terri Tedford will lead the worship portion of the service.
An independent recording artist, Tedford has been writing songs since childhood. She is an accomplished musician on both piano and guitar, and her first recording was produced in 1992. Since then she has recorded a total of five projects and toured across the United States to perform in churches, schools and civic centers, appearing on inspirational television and radio broadcasts.
Her music is a reflection of faith and family values, delivered in a refreshing, contemporary folk style.
A resident of Morgan County, Tedford enjoys giving private music lessons to local students. A devoted mother of four, she also fills her time with activities, such as gardening and landscaping, playing volleyball and working in her recording studio.
In addition to her music career, Tedford recently fulfilled a life-long dream of becoming a registered nurse, graduating from Morgan Community College in May. She is currently enrolled in the University of Northern Colorado online program for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and works at East Morgan County Hospital.
When asked what music and medicine have in common, Tedford says, “It’s really very simple: There is healing in both medicine and music. My life is all about helping people. From the inside out, that’s what I love to do.”
