“A Day at the Fair—Making the world of showing livestock a reality for all” is scheduled to be held Wednesday, Aug. 6, from 8-11 a.m. at the Yuma County Fairgrounds as part of the Yuma County Fair.
This event is especially aimed at those individuals in the Yuma County area who have physical and/or mental disabilities. The purpose of “A Day at the Fair” is to assist youth in acquiring knowledge, developing life skills and forming attitudes that will enable them to become self-directing, productive individuals.
Event organizers wish to involve students in the area who do not feel as if they are able to participate in agricultural organizations like 4-H and FFA to be able to show livestock.
