|HHS FB aims for strong year with experience|

Looking forward to everyone on the roster having a big season, the Holyoke High School football team also has some big challenges ahead.
A few weeks of hard work in practice and a team scrimmage last week show that the players are hungry to kickoff the regular season, according to coach John Zilla
Though the roster is set at 35 players, down by seven compared to last year, the current team has a significant number of returning athletes and letterwinners which has helped the Dragons get off and running easily.
Zilla is now in his third year of leading the Holyoke gridiron gang. He began working with the current seniors in their sophomore season, and the familiarity between the coaches and players will undoubtedly be key to the flow of the season.
“We need a lot of older players to step up and lead,” Zilla said. “And they have been doing that.”
