Holyoke High School girls’ swim team is the recipient of a Fuel up with Milk grant given by Western Dairy Association. The $1,000 grant will be used to purchase milk for team members to refuel and recharge their bodies after practices and meets.
Jenna Allen, a registered dietitian and senior director of nutrition marketing and affairs with Western Dairy Association, congratulated the team Tuesday, Nov. 11. She presented them with a Fuel up with Milk banner to hang in the HHS gym and a cooler to use for transporting milk.
HHS swim team was one of four sports teams to receive a grant. This is the first time Western Dairy Association has offered the grants, working through the Colorado High School Activities Association.
