|‘Give where you live’ on Colorado Gives Day Tuesday|
|Written by Darci Tomky|
In one 24-hour period, residents across the state of Colroado are joining together to raise millions for Colorado nonprofits.
Next Tuesday, Dec. 9, is Colorado Gives Day, an event encouraging donors to join the movement and “give where you live.”
Colorado Gives Day is powered by ColoradoGives.org, a year-round, online giving website featuring over 1,600 Colorado nonprofit organizations.
Two local nonprofits participating on the website are Baby Bear Hugs and Centennial Mental Health Center.
Nonprofits can be searched by the type of cause, name or location. Each nonprofit’s profile page gives up-to-date information about the organization’s programs and objectives.
While donations can be made through the website any time of the year, donations made on Colorado Gives Day will be proportionally increased through a $1 million incentive fund. This is made possible by Community First Foundation and FirstBank, partners who have presented Colorado Gives Day since 2010.
