Lorene Ingwersen - March 30, 2010

Lorene Frances Ingwersen, 92, of Julesburg was born Dec. 8, 1917 in Holstein, Neb. to George and Frances (Gentert) Hagemann. She died March 30, 2010 in Julesburg.

On Jan. 28, 1938 she married John Henry Ingwersen.

Lorene was a member of the LLA Social Club, Women’s Ruth Circle and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed making quilts, baking cinnamon rolls, spending time with her children, bowling, gardening, playing cards, singing and volunteering at the Orphan Grain Train.

Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, George and Frances Hagemann; husband, John Ingwersen; daughter, Velma Ingwersen; son, Dennis Ingwersen; sister, Lela Sullivan; and brothers, Vaughn, Burdell and Marvin Hagemann.

Lorene is survived by her daughters, Donna Voellinger, Linda Austin and Carol Goto; son, Rick Ingwersen; brother, Doug Hagemann; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Lorene’s family acknowledges all of her friends and neighbors for the help and care she received during the last few years. It was truly appreciated by her and her family. They would also like to especially thank all the staff of the hospital, nursing home and assisted living.

Funeral services were held April 2 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Julesburg with Pastor Trent Christensen officiating. Burial followed at Hillside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Lorene’s name to the Chair Fund at St Paul’s Lutheran Church, 621 Maple St., Julesburg, CO 80737.

Austin Tennant Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
