Gary Fryrear - August 19, 2010
He lived most of his life in Illinois where he taught math and science in the Chicago and Thornridge school systems. Gary had a knack for motivating and challenging his students.
Gary was married and was the father of three children, Dakota, Makahla and Jasper.
He loved the outdoors and often went camping and hiking with his kids. Gary considered Colorado “home.”
He was preceded in death by his two grandfathers, Merle Fryrear and Melvin Spanjer.
Survivors include his three children and ex-wife; parents, Max and Candace; siblings, Jerry Fryrear, Melinda Thomas and Michael Fryrear and their spouses and families; grandmothers, Genevieve Fryrear and Vivian Spanjer; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He will be sadly missed.
A memorial service was held at Posegate Cemetery with Pastor Frank Tamsey leading the service. A memorial service will also be held in Illinois.
