Phil Krumm - March 23, 2011
Philip John Krumm was born July 10, 1973 at Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y. and was baptized into the Christian faith later that same year in Buffalo. He died March 23, 2011 at Black Forest at the age of 37.
He graduated from Holyoke High School with the Class of 1991, and in June of 1995, Phil graduated from the University of Wyoming.
Phil loved the great outdoors and worked for the Colorado Division of Wildlife in Fruita soon after leaving Laramie, Wyo. He lived in Grand Junction and it was there that he met his wife Tara.
Phil relocated to Colorado Springs and married Tara Townsend in early September 1999 at an outdoor wedding chapel near Cripple Creek. They soon moved outside the city limits of Colorado Springs to a secluded area in Black Forest.
Riley Kate was born Jan. 31, 2006, soon after they had moved into a beautiful new home on the property, and Katie Allison was born March 10, 2009. The two daughters were a blessing from God, especially after the 1989 accident, and Phil was truly aware of that.
Phil was a founding partner of AGORA Wealth Management and a consummate professional in the wealth management business. He was nationally recognized for excellence in his field and was a trusted and loving friend to his clients.
Phil was also an accomplished runner and participated in many marathons, including the Pikes Peak Summit race held every year the second weekend in August.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Michael Krumm, on Oct. 1, 1989; and his grandparents.
Phil is survived by his parents, Gary and Carol Krumm of Holyoke and John and Kathy Roll of Kingfisher, Okla.
A memorial service was held April 5 at Zion Lutheran Church in Holyoke.
