Carmen Grantham - June 01, 2011
Carmen K. Grantham, 55, was born Nov. 23, 1955 in Ogallala, Neb. to Max and Kathryn Grantham. She died June 1, 2011 at Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan.
Carmen graduated from Holyoke High School in 1974. She continued her education and had been working as a licensed practical nurse until health issues forced her to retire.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Holyoke and was in the process of changing her membership to Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Morgan. She enjoyed reading, working on the computer and spending time with her dog.
She was preceded in death by her father, Max Grantham; brother, Joe; and sister, Cheri.
She is survived by her parents, John and Kathryn Roth of Snyder; sons, Aaron Hewitt and Bill Hewitt, both of Sterling; brother, Steve Grantham of Colorado Springs; sisters, Sandi Ertle of Sterling and Debbie Helgoth of Holyoke; stepsister, Roxanne Plantz of Brush; stepbrothers, Arley Krueger of Holyoke and Tim Krueger of Minot, N.D.; and her boyfriend, Jerry Custer of Sterling.
A memorial service was held June 6 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Morgan. Inurnment was at Mount Hope Cemetery in Imperial, Neb. Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Brush was entrusted with the arrangements.
