During his membership, he was active in the Motor Patrol and enjoyed the time he was able to spend driving “Leapin’ Lena,” a car that was engineered to perform tricks during parades. Bill loved the outdoors and enjoyed pheasant hunting and fishing. He had a love for sports, especially basketball. Bill loved watching professional games and loved watching his grandchildren play.
After retirement, Bill kept busy. He volunteered as a travel counselor at the Colorado Welcome Center in Julesburg. He really enjoyed the time there and the people he was able to work with.
