Fern Singmaster - February 12, 2012
Fern Maxine Singmaster died Feb. 12, 2012 in Julesburg. Fern was born June 9, 1928 in Paoli, the daughter of Albert Vogel and Mabel (Schwartz) Vogel.
Fern attended school in Paoli, moving to Holyoke in 1941. She married Eugene Scott Singmaster on Feb. 20, 1948 in Holyoke.
Fern was a loving mother to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, needlework, crocheting and spending time with her family.
Fern was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mabel Vogel; sister, Mirlan Demmel; and brother, Kenneth Vogel.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene of Julesburg; daughter, Sharon Singmaster of Julesburg; granddaughter, Amy Singmaster and friend Richard Michalak of Elizabeth; granddaughter, Shelley Cram and significant other Michael Bozzetto of Brisbane Australia; great-grandchildren, Cody Miller and Kelley Jo Bozzetto of Brisbane, Australia; daughter, Susan Hyatt and husband David of Torrington, Conn.; daughter, Jeanne Dwiggins and husband James of Brighton; son, Lonnie Singmaster and wife Jill and grandson K.C. Singmaster of Springhill, Kan.; son, Timothy Way and wife Doris of Arlington, Texas; sisters, Hazel Alberts, Lois Kohrell and Fae Lindgren, all of Holyoke; and brother, Melvin Vogel of Clifton.
Memorials can be made in Fern’s name to the Gateway Medical Foundation, 900 Cedar St., Julesburg, CO 80737.
Funeral services were held Feb. 16 at Austin-Tennant Funeral Home in Julesburg, with Pastor Joy Savage officiating. Burial followed in the Holyoke Cemetery.
Austin-Tennant Funeral Home in Julesburg was in charge of arrangements.
