Steve Tattenbaum - March 15, 2012
Stephen Douglas Tattenbaum, age 60, of Holyoke, died March 15, 2012 in Loveland. Steve was born Nov. 6, 1951 to Harrison and Doris Mae (Adair) Tattenbaum at Brook Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Steve served in the Army in the 1st Calvary and was stationed in Washington, D.C. as a chauffeur at the Pentagon and in Fort Hood, Texas in the Motor Pool. After the military, he lived in various cities and towns in Texas until he moved to Colorado in 2006. He worked as a truck driver for many years until an accident left him disabled. During his time in Holyoke, he proudly helped the Gerk family with harvest.
He enjoyed helping friends and neighbors, especially at SunSet View Apartments. His pet dachshund, Tinker Bell, was his whole world.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harrison Tattenbaum and Doris Pinner; and his step-father, Charles Pinner, whom he cared for for many years.
He is survived by his children, Patricia Renee Dill of Arlington, Texas and Stephen Green of Tyler, Texas; grandchildren, Tori Lara and Krista Garza; brother, William Tattenbaum of Augustine, Fla.; sisters, Donna Pinner of Sterling, Karen Coble of Jacksonville, Texas and Debra Painter of Luxembourg, Europe; nephews, Jason Coble and wife Michelle of Troup, Texas, Brian Coble of Jacksonville, Texas, Kevin Coble and wife Katie of Jacksonville, Texas and Logan Gift of Holyoke; nieces, Staci Salyers of Sterling and Nicole Painter of Luxembourg, Europe.
There will be no visitation for Steve. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Texas. Inurnment will follow in the rural hill country of Texas.
